Welcome :)
It was suggested I start this blog by a friend of mine. I love photography. I also love the city of Napier. Before I start I would like to thank Amy as I have found a new excitement in my hobby :) You have motivated me friend :)
I am going to be linking to a host site called City Daily Photo and they have theme days on the first of the month. Today's theme is rust. So without further a do here is my photo of rust.

I had a walk around Ahuriri (a seaside suburb of Napier) yesterday afternoon and came across this mural painted on the corner of a building. Can you see the lines of rust? - shame really :(
Great shot for theme day. I loved visiting Napier.
ReplyDeletethanks
DeleteI love living here :)
Welcome Jen, a fine rendition of rust! (Have not been to Hawkes Bay for quite a few years:-(
ReplyDeletethanks
Deletewell now you can through my photos :)
Looking forward to more photos from you, Jen, and welcome to CDP. We are a friendly bunch, and you'll find many friends among us. Water is a great precursor to rust so boats and harbors are a wonderful place to find an image for this theme.
ReplyDeletethanks :)
DeleteWelcome to photoblogging, and a good choice for the theme. I'm going to have to look your location up in an atlas.
ReplyDeletethanks :)
Deleteas I have stated in my sidebar Napier is a New Zealand city with a seaport, located in the Hawke's Bay on the eastern coast of the North Island.
What a lifelike mural! And yes, now I see the culprit, the metal, up on top, sharing its rust.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the group, Jen, and have fun blogging!
thanks :) its very lifelike isnt it wish I knew who the artist was
DeleteNifty!
ReplyDeletethanks :)
DeleteStrange and eye-catching!
ReplyDeletethanks :)
DeleteOH, now that I look at it closely I can see it's a mural. Rather clever!
ReplyDeleteisnt it :)
DeleteNot so nifty with all that rust by the look of it - welcome to the CDPB community - We passed through Napier in 2001 staying at "The Large House" - don't know if it is still a boutique b&b now.
ReplyDeletethanks :)
Deletedid a quick google search and I dont think it does exist anymore
The house is probably there just no longer a b&b - my account is at .http://www.geraldengland.co.uk/nz/nzj021.htm I didn't take any photos in Napier itself so used one off their website to illustrate that day!
DeleteGosh Jen, at first I didn't even realize it was a mural.. it's fantastic, very real looking. perfect for the theme day AND Monday murals :)
ReplyDeleteHi there, I've been here :-) .
ReplyDeletethanks
DeleteThat's a very cool entry for the theme! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteThis new blog is a great idea Jen and I enjoy seeing your photos of Napier from your daily walks.
ReplyDeleteI thought this photo was of a real boat at first sight. Very clever.
