Napier's Art Deco Bridge
On my walk yesterday in Taradale I also took some shots of the Meeanee Overbridge. It was built between 2005 and 2007. This bridge is part of the Hawkes Bay expressway which connects Napier to the nearest city of Hastings. It has made this interchange safer, quicker and less congested at peak hour times. There are art deco inspired sunbursts on the bridge. These were designed by local school children and community groups.
