Anderson Park is a well utilized park in Taradale. At the park there is a childrens play ground, a miniature railway system and a skate bowl. It is used for Christmas in the Park concert each year and for circuses and the travelling gypsy fair. Scouts and Girl Guides have halls here too.
Many birds live and nest here they are protected.
The park use to be the Hawkes Bay horse racing venue from 1886 until 1960. In 1962 the council brought and development of the park began in 1966.
