Recently the Napier City Council and the RSA unveiled these updated road signs with poppies on them. I am hoping they are going to put poppies on the other roads nearby that were named after the war. This is a nationwide project called the Places of Remembrance .
Jen, I had to click on your "Napier" button to find out where Napier is, which is funny because I think I have some friends from New Zealand who live in Napier. I should have recognized it. I like the poppies on the road signs. Here's Mine
