Art Deco 2015 - Theme Day - ageing

Over the last week I have been posting photos that I took at Art Deco 2015 here in Napier, New Zealand.  City Daily Photo have theme days on the first of the month.  I took a photo of this couple who were going to the "Depression Dinner".  I dont used photo shop so I played around with the editing programs I do use and my photo underwent the ageing process :)

  13. Had not even thought of this approach to the theme. Well done, you!

I am not sure I like the idea of a 'Depression Dinner". What if they were to serve rabbit and choko ... I fear my stomach would turn!

Thanks so much for this creative contribution to our monthly Theme Day. It is most appreciated ...

    1. thanks Julie
I didnt want to interrupt my art deco series :)
I went past where they were holding it in a marquee tent and it looked so much fun - considering attending for next year - youre the first person Ive told
from what I can find out the menu is plain but ok - soup, lamb stew served on tin plates and accompanied by slices of white bread and desert
its a progressive dinner to an extent too :)

    2. so ... plain and simple ... lamb stew ... even the stewing bits of a lamb are not cheap over this side of the Tasman.

Progressive ... meaning you take yer plate and move to another nominated seat ... like in long bus tours ... there is much to be said for thid "meet'n'greet" technique.

Many thanks for the additional info ...

    3. we are a farming country so maybe thats why it was cheap?
progressive meaning you have your starter in one place your dinner in another and your dessert in another
