The above photo was taken in 1905. It was interesting to me as the wharf looks very similar these days.
Apart from the modern vehicles and the tree not much has changed really just here in the last 1111 years. Do you see The New Zealand Shipping Company building on the right hand side of the photo?
I also snapped these fishermen doing what might have occurred all those years ago there too.
I like the comparison between then and now!
